They present the CROMAfest festival
Having between its objectives the detonation of creative industries and inspiring to the population by the incursion of the new technologies, the CROMAfest festival appeared to means.
Dedicated to the animation, the visual effects (VFX) and the video-games, CROMAfest will reunite to tie the Mexican and foreign professionals with the industry, in an event of 7 days that will offer to the interested public the opportunity to be and to interchange experiences with personalities of the sector.
This new showcase for the professionals of the industry multimedia arose after an investigation between 150 companies of animation and located producing houses was realized, in its majority, in the colonies Rome and Countess.
In press conference, Jose Iñesta Ocampo, general director of CROMAfest, emphasized the importance of the accomplishment of this event, because he will generate an important exhibition of Mexican talents and will serve “to take care of the community of new means”.
Accompanied by Jose Antonio Lopez, general director of enterprise promotion of the Secretariat of Economy, and the secretary of culture of the Federal District, Elena Cepeda of Leon, that emphasized the importance of the participation of the economic sector within the festival since “the culture can generate important economic benefits within a society”, Iñesta mentioned that the industry multimedia invoices approximately 20 million dollars annually and is within the professions more good paid over others of diverse nature.
CROMAfest will be divided in three important axes: Networking, Art in Motion and the contest. First it will represent an approach between the rising companies and the creative nationals and foreigners, besides investors, through conferences, factories and sessions that will allow the interchange of knowledge and experiences on the scope multimedia.
Within the most excellent participation it emphasizes the one of Double Negative, creators of the visual effects of films like Harry Potter, Captain America and winners of the Oscar by the visual effects of “Inception” (the Origin), who besides distributing a conference, will have a stand where they will receive work requests and they will review portfolios personally to give to feedback and information to be able to aspire to comprise of his equipment.
As far as the Art category in Motion interesting public samples are prepared that will help to the diffusion of artists of the animation and the video-games like the projection Stop Motion in facades of the Cultural Runner Rome Countess, activities for children and the installation of a Colscreen, giant screen, to play video-games in group.
Through a call sent from September of the last year, the contest of animation shorts will award to the best works than they were sent before 10 of past January and which, 15 Mexicans comprise of the official selection.
The CROMAfest counts on the support of governmental dependancies between which they emphasize the Secretariat of Economy and the Secretariat of Culture of the DF and will be realized from the 13 to the 19 of February in the Cultural Runner Rome Countess and the attendance of 10 thousand participants is expected.
