Utica is a private college founded by Syracuse University in 1946. In 1995 it became independent and began offering graduate programs that grant the Utica College master’s degree in 1999 and the Utica College doctoral degree in 2005.
Utica offers 24 Minor, 32 Major, 15 graduate programs, several opportunities to study abroad and some part time pre-professional and special programs to the students.
