The London Metropolitan Film School Centre of Excellence

The London Metropolitan film school has been accredited as a centre of excellence. For those who have stardom in their sights, and fame and fortune in the offing, then you will receive the highest quality and training to enter the world of the film industry.It was announced on 5 July that the University’s London Film School (LFS) will be part of the UK’s Screen Academy Network. It has been identified by Skillset as one of a small number of institutions which are centres of excellence. As well as endorsement, the initiative comes with a funding package which will enable the LFS to offer a substantial number of new bursaries to UK students, launch new courses and instigate a pan-European exchange programme.

The Skillset partnership will enable the London Film School to offer 20 MA filmmaking bursaries for UK students ensuring good access for the current generation of talented UK graduate students, they can benefit from the school’s special culture and a very full learning programme. Education is one of our most important assets, if you were one of the unfortunate people who failed to find their potential while at school all is not lost. Alexander Graham Bell Studied at Boston University U.S.A.

Boston University began its life in 1839, it was then known as The Newbury Biblical Institute. It was founded on the site of Newbury Seminary a Methodist secondary school in Vermont. This Institute is now the Boston University’ school of Theology, it was the first seminary of the United Methodist Church.The members of this institute studied classics and theology, farm work was also part of their lives.

The Institute grew rapidly and in 1846 it changed its name and became The Methodist General Institute of Concord. The school was open to all denominations.

The civil war brought many changes including declining enrolment and the centennial of American Methodism in 1866, It was then decided to move to Boston where the Boston School of Theology opened in 1876. Read the rest of this entry »
