The Higher Learning Commission that grants regional accreditation, most common for majority of public, state, and private universities has granted accreditation to Capella University. The University has been around since 1993.
Capella University has moved from traditional accreditation and boasts of accreditation with Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) with The Higher Learning Commission. This type of accreditation is taken by Universities besides regular regional accreditation, who consider improvement as an ongoing process. They adopt the Continuous Improvement Module for their institution to maintain standard. ’s a process of self-assessing which leads the institute to identify and focus on their long terms objectives with short term and long term action plans to reach there.
