Brianna Dean is the Owner and Defender of www.virtualsolutionsadmin.com. Using her 10 years in administration and sales, Brianna started a company that is geared toward making business owners more efficient. She also provides life and career coaching services through VirtualSolutions. Brianna is determined to add more value to her life, business and career by furthering her education. She is currently a student of Tulsa Community College’s Distance Learning Program. She is specializing in Web Design and Marketing. Brianna chose distance education so she could be home with her newborn daughter while still completing her degree.

Rodney Perdew

Rodney Perdew is an eighth-grade Social Studies teacher at Benjamin Rush Middle School. Rodney has been fascinated with computers since 1984, when he purchased his first, a “state-of-the-art” Commodore 64. He has always looked at the fact that he has been “self-taught” in computers to be an asset in that he creates activities and learning instruments designed specifically for the needs and interests of his students. Rodney believes that through the use of computers, students can receive individualized instructional curricula that take advantage of student strengths such as creativity and inventiveness. Whether speaking to parents about effective methods that can be employed at home to further their child’s education, or training staff on the latest developments in technology and techniques, Rodney is thought of as someone who is a kind, good-natured, and caring person who will do anything for anyone.

Rodney has developed an innovative classroom web site that allows parents to be able to become active participants in their child’s education. They can see what activities and assignments are being completed on any given day, find resources, and even communicate with Mr. Perdew “live” at home in the evenings. If a homework handout or map is forgotten at school, the student or parent can download a new one from the comfort of home. Students enjoy being able to complete assignments on-line and everyone loves Rodney’s unique scavenger hunt exercises.
